Family Testimonials

A wonderful nature based Montessori school.

The kids really are outside in almost all weather (with appropriate gear) for 2-3+ hours per day. We have found it to be an immense benefit to our child’s development. There’s a huge outdoor space in the back with gardens, playground, open area, and a faerie forest. Lots of hands on learning and exploring are done.

The staff are excellent and have created a welcoming and inclusive community. We’ve made friends (both adults and kid) and really enjoy our time here. There’s lots of extra activities and ways to get involved too if that’s your thing, but in a no-pressure sort of way.

I was a little unsure about Montessori in general when we first checked it out, but after getting to know more about it, I think it really works for us. We were at a typical center before which was good, but our child is really thriving here. We’ve been here for two years now.

10/10 would recommend.- Andre

My child has attended Little Garden for 2 years now. I specifically chose this preschool for the low staff turnover, the hours spent outside daily, and the Montessori philosophy (respecting the child, multi-age classroom, tactile materials and work, intrinsic motivation, etc) brilliantly combined with Nature school philosophy (the outdoors is where children should be! Helps with emotional and physical regulation, problem solving, unstructured exploration, physical/gross motor skills, promoting environmental stewardship, etc). No other local school to my knowledge has combined these two pedagogies/philosophies that are both so uniquely beneficial to children. I also appreciate that LG has an option for kindergarten programming. My child has learned so much in such a peaceful, warm, welcoming environment. She is learning letter sounds and starting to spell, along with math and life concepts, all of which are practiced and cognitively cemented with that "real life" open outdoor play. Thank you Little Garden for creating such an incredible environment for both staff and children.- Lilly

We made the switch from a larger daycare center to Little Garden last fall and it was one of the best decisions we have made for our son! All the time spent outside exploring and really allowing "kids to be kids" is one of our favorite parts of Little Garden. The communication and collaboration with parents is phenomenal. The staff provide such a nurturing, caring, and loving environment for the kids. I am so grateful for Little Garden! -Krista

As a parent of a child attending a Montessori school, I cannot speak highly enough about the positive impact it has had on my child's development and love for learning. The Montessori method has provided a nurturing and stimulating environment where my child is encouraged to explore, discover, and grow at their own pace.

The teachers are dedicated and skilled in guiding my child's learning journey, offering the right balance of support and independence.

I have seen firsthand how the teachers approach fosters a sense of responsibility, independence, and respect for others in my child. The emphasis on practical life skills and social interactions has helped my child develop important life skills and build strong relationships with peers.

Overall, I am incredibly grateful for the holistic and child-centered education from Little Garden Montessori. I have no doubt that the foundation being laid here will set my child up for a lifetime of success and fulfillment. I highly recommend Little Garden Montessori to any parent looking for a unique and effective approach to education.- Sarah

We love Little Garden! Our daughter has attended Little Garden for more than a year and we couldn't be happier or more grateful to the leaders and staff. The teachers are highly experienced and there is low teacher turnover. Children are outside for several hours a day and get the balance of structure and free play. Music, movement, and creativity are part of their day. The Montessori method helps create independent learners. Little Garden is more than a school. It's a community where you can meet other parents, attend monthly events and feel part of something larger. We highly recommend it!- Liz

Our son has absolutely thrived at Little Garden thanks to the inclusive and welcoming environment that that has been created. He needed a preschool with lots of outdoor play, and the self-directed nature of Montessori has been a wonderful fit for his active, curious personality. The staff is communicative and extremely kind and caring to our entire family. We cannot wait to have our daughter also join the Little Garden crew in the fall." -Kim

“Leah taught my daughter for two years in a Montessori setting and she was the perfect person for her first school experience. Every day she greeted each child by getting on their level and letting them know that they were safe and loved in her classroom. My daughter’s confidence and independence flourished in Leah’s room. She encourages curiosity, models kindness, sets good boundaries and really helps each child to care for themselves, each other and the earth. Leah offered so many fun ways to learn and taught the kids using a variety of Montessori tools. My daughter loved going to school and still talks fondly about her time with Mrs. Adair. Leah is also fantastic with parents. She is very responsive and always approaches any issues with compassion and a collaborative effort. I felt extremely lucky to have Leah teach my child and I told her many times I wish she could have moved to the next grade to keep teaching her!”

“Our oldest child was very hesitant to begin school, and Mrs. Adair’s calming presence, skill, and care helped him (and us!) acclimate with ease. She provided an environment that was nurturing and supportive throughout his two years in her children’s house. Mrs. Adair also helped guide us in some important academic decisions. We continue to be grateful to Mrs. Adair for giving our son a positive and enriching school foundation”

“Leah (or Mama Eya as my 2 year old calls her) has been such a safe space for not only my kids but me as we navigated our first experience with full time childcare. She is calm and approachable and they easily connected with and loved her. They come home happily exhausted and are always ready for another day of adventures. Little Garden Montessori is the perfect combination of laid-back and intentionality that preschoolers need to thrive!”
